There are many ways that we can communicate with spirit. We all have this potential within us. Mediumship is not a special gift that some have and some don’t. I’ll be talking more about this over the next few weeks. For now, let’s explore the 6th sense, or what I call Intuitive Perception. This is the ability to combine all your senses and to follow your intuition when communicating with spirit. For some, this comes naturally and for others, it needs to be re-learned. Children all have this ability but it’s replaced by logic and conditioning as we grow older. Clairvoyance is the ability to see images in one's mind. These may be photographic in nature, sketches or signs and symbols that can be interpreted into a message.
Clairaudience is the ability to hear spirit talk, or to hear residual energy e.g. bells, noises from the past.
Clairaudience is the ability to hear spirit, their voice, sounds and events of the past.
Clairsentience is the ability to sense spirit and to know that they are present. This may be detailed information regarding their sex, appearance, age etc or simply the feeling of empathy and emotion.
Clairalience is the ability to smell spirit, e.g. alcohol, tobacco, perfume etc.
Clairgustance is the ability to taste, e.g. alcohol, blood etc.
Claircognisance is the ability to know things without understanding why, such as how someone was murdered, what someone's name was or the type of work that they carried out.
Intuitive Perception (or 6th sense) is the ability to use all these senses and to be able to understand them in a way that allows you to communicate with spirit and to pass on messages to those still here on this physical plane.
